This new model redefines the concept of modern sailing by combining luxury, functionality and versatility in a single design designed to enjoy the sea at any time of the year.

An Innovative Concept

The Marex 440 Scandinavia is the result of collaboration between Marex and leading naval architecture and design studios, including VOM Creations (design), Nikl Design (naval architecture) and Alpha Creations (engineering). “We are delighted to introduce our award-winning Marex 440 in this Scandinavia version. This model is designed for families to enjoy sailing in any weather or season. With two spacious dining areas, both inside and outside, we have created a truly versatile boat,” comments Espen Aalrud, CEO of Marex.

Social Spaces and Connection with the Sea

One of the highlights of the design of the Marex 440 Scandinavia is the optimization of its social spaces:

  • Saloon and interior dining area: The saloon features a comfortable sofa, two removable stools and a table with folding wings, perfect for adapting to different configurations according to space requirements. An innovative feature is the transformable co-driver’s seat, which can be quickly integrated into the dining area to increase capacity.
  • Connection to the outside: The large panoramic windows, together with a sliding glass door and a retractable window, allow the salon to be combined with the cockpit, creating a unique space for socializing while enjoying the sea.
  • Folding TV: Integrated into the ceiling of the salon, the TV can be folded and rotated, allowing its use both from the cockpit and from the interior.

Design Kitchen and Energy Efficiency

The Marex 440 Scandinavia has a fully equipped kitchen with top of the range appliances such as double sink, oven and Miele induction hob. In addition, a 220-liter refrigerator and 100-liter freezer provide ample space for provisions, with the possibility of being powered by roof-mounted solar panels, ensuring continuous operation without the need for grounding.

Cockpit and Cabin Layout

The cockpit of the Marex 440 Scandinavia is designed as a social hub, with a U-shaped settee around the dining table and an additional settee on the starboard side. This space is perfect for enjoying outdoor gatherings while maintaining a constant connection with the maritime environment. As for the cabins, this model offers two possible layouts:

  1. Two-cabin version:
    • Master cabin forward with 1.70 x 2.00 m bed and private bathroom with separate shower.
    • Guest cabin with 1.80 x 2.00 m bed, sofa by the window, dressing room and washer/dryer option.
  2. Three-cabin version:
    • Master cabin with private bathroom.
    • Two double cabins with shared bathroom.
