Nimbus expands its Sport Cruiser range with one of its most interesting new models: the Nimbus Sport Coupé 35, a boat that combines the dynamic performance of the new Sport Cruiser 35 platform with the habitability, protection, and cruising philosophy that have historically defined the Swedish brand’s Coupé models. Its world premiere will take place at boot Düsseldorf 2027.

The concept can be summarized simply: a boat that handles like a Sport Cruiser and lives like a Nimbus Coupé. A particularly appealing proposition for those seeking a versatile boat capable of handling a day of sporty cruising, a passage in more demanding conditions, or several days aboard with family and friends.

A new interpretation of the Nimbus Coupé

The Coupé has been part of Nimbus’s identity for decades. But with the new Sport Coupé 35, the shipyard brings that philosophy to a far more sporting platform.

The boat has been designed from the first sketch as a Coupé, with the people who will travel and live aboard in mind. However, beneath that superstructure lies the same hull developed for the new Sport Cruiser 35 family, shared with the Nimbus Sport Tender 35.

In fact, the new range will consist of three interpretations built around the same platform: Sport Tender, Sport Weekender, and Sport Coupé.

The result seeks to unite two worlds previously more distinct within Nimbus: the open, dynamic cruising of its Sport Cruisers and the protection and habitability of the Coupé models.

A hull designed to run fast, dry, and stable

One of the main strengths of the Nimbus Sport Coupé 35 lies below the waterline.

It uses the double-step hull with air lubrication from the Sport Cruiser 35 family, with a sharp bow section and a deeper V toward the stern. Its construction is carried out by vacuum infusion in a single piece around a Divinycell core, seeking to combine structural rigidity, lightness, and insulation.

This architecture aims to achieve solid, quiet cruising without simply relying on weight for stability.

As a reference for this platform’s potential, the Sport Tender 35 reached 48.5 knots with twin Mercury Verado V8 300 HP engines during testing conducted by Mercury Marine. This is, however, the performance achieved by the Sport Tender on the same hull and not an official top speed figure for the new Sport Coupé 35.

Sidewalk: greater safety outside, more space inside

The Sport Coupé 35 brings back one of the most recognizable features of Nimbus Coupé models: the Sidewalk system.

The starboard walkway is exceptionally wide and connects the cockpit with the bow virtually uninterrupted, facilitating both movement aboard and docking maneuvers.

On the port side, Nimbus raises the side passage and uses that volume inside to create a larger saloon with greater headroom toward the central cabin.

This is complemented by a hardtop over the saloon, accompanied by large glazed sections. The glass hatches can be opened to transform the interior ambiance when weather permits, while maintaining the protection characteristic of this type of boat.

A helm station also designed for docking

Nimbus has paid particular attention to one of the most important moments of any cruise: the maneuver in port.

Next to the helm station is a new sliding side door, directly connected to the Sidewalk. A small side gate is also added to the hull itself, allowing easier access to the dock.

With Mercury Joystick Piloting and integrated bow thruster, the Sport Coupé 35 is designed to simplify maneuvers even when a single person is handling the boat.

At the helm, you can choose between one 16-inch display or two 12-inch displays, using Nimbus’s proprietary interface to centralize the main navigation and boat control functions.

World premiere at boot Düsseldorf 2027

The Nimbus Sport Coupé 35 will make its world debut at boot Düsseldorf, January 23–31, 2027, when Nimbus will reveal its complete technical specifications.

With it, Nimbus takes a new step in the evolution of its range and unites two of the concepts that best represent the Swedish shipyard: the versatility of its Sport Cruisers and the Scandinavian comfort of its Coupé models.

At Nautic Luis, official Nimbus importer for the Iberian Peninsula, we will closely follow the arrival of this new Nimbus Sport Coupé 35 and all developments prior to its official presentation in Düsseldorf.
