Following the C9 and C11 models, the new Nimbus C8 is the third model in the Nimbus Commuter series. It is a fast recreational boat, built to meet the needs of year-round boaters, day-trippers, and those planning shorter, staggered trips who may spend the night on board.

Thanks to its comfortable, functional, and agile design, it is the perfect choice for those who wish to use their boat daily, regardless of the weather. The C8 prioritizes space, surfaces, and functionality, allowing for excellent mobility and an unparalleled sense of freedom on board. All of this results in easily accessible storage spaces, wide gangways and passages, and large sliding doors.
The C8 is a versatile and comfortable boat for year-round travel, performing equally well whether you are boating alone or with company. Despite its reduced size, priority has been given to ensuring that the available space allows for easy boarding, disembarking, and free movement around the boat. According to Joacim Gustavsson, chief designer at Nimbus, the crucial element in the manufacturing of the C8 was to build it as functional and versatile as the C9, but with a smaller hull.

A unique commuter
Like its sisters, the C8 features a wide walk-around (illustration 5) which contributes to an extra sense of freedom and makes it easy to move around the deck. It is, in short, a smaller alternative to other boats in the Nimbus Commuter series.
“With the C8, we reach a wider audience, partly because it has a lower price, but also due to its smaller size. Thanks to this, the C8 can moor in ports where it would otherwise be too narrow. Additionally, it is an easy boat to transport with a trailer,” states the Nimbus Commercial Director.

The bow seats of this model offer 3 positions: lounge, chill, or driving mode (illustrations 6, 7, and 8), depending on the desired use. The cockpit is spacious and allows plenty of natural light through the extra-large glass doors, the sliding roof hatch, and the aft hatch, which can also be opened.
It closes and opens in a matter of seconds, and the large aft glass hatch makes boarding and disembarking easy, efficient, and facilitates communication between the crew on shore and on board.
The cockpit can accommodate up to 4 or 5 people seated on the side benches and the folding aft sofa. Thanks to this sofa, the cockpit can be better adapted according to the owner’s needs:
seating for entertaining, storage space, or a spot for activities such as fishing or swimming.
The swivel seats of the Nimbus C8 are very comfortable when sailing, both for the driver and their passengers. They can be easily rotated towards the sofa and the extendable table, thus creating an area to enjoy a good snack or meal with loved ones. The sofa can be converted into an additional bed for two children or one adult, and the bow cabin has a double bed with a separate bathroom and a small galley. The top of the cockpit is equipped with integrated cargo arches, allowing for the transport of larger items such as surfboards, kayaks, etc.
